Here is a top you can use in mail or just as  graphic.

You are not allowed to forward this lesson or to place it on any web site.
Do not claim as your own, but all graphics made by your self, are yours.

I have used PSP 9, but other versions should work.

MATERIALS:

1. tube - BearBPlate.
1. selection files - bj-topp2.
1 pattern - MD-PearlWreath Pattern
Font - Burnstown Dam.
All in zip.

You are also allowed to use your own.

Open up PSP.
Open zip file. Put Selections File in PSP's Selections folder,
and Pattern in PSP's Pattern Folder
Open tube in PSP, minimize.
Open font and minimize to desktop
In Material Box set Foreground to #321712.
Or use your own color, Background closed..

We are ready to begin.

1.

In PSP go to File/New/New Image:

set width 800, height 600, transparent.

Selections/Load/Save Selection/Load Selection From Disk:

Here you find bj-topp2, Replace selection and Source luminance checked,
Load:

Flood Fill with Foreground Color.
 

Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel:

with these settings:

Deselect (Ctrl/D)

 Grab Magic Wand:

Select inside of frame. Selections/Modify/Expand:

Set Number of Pixel to 5:

New Raster Layer. Layers/Arrange/Move down.
Set Background to #ffffff.
Flood Fill selection.

Effects/Texture Effects/Sculpture:

I have used MD-PearlWreath Pattern, but you can use your own.
Here are my settings:

Deselect (Ctrl/D)

Open tube BearBPlate or your own tube. Edit/Copy, close tube.
On Image Edit/Paste/Paste as New Layer.
Image/Resize 75% no check in Resize All Layers:

Use Mover Tool to place it.
Look at mine placement.
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow:

with these settings:

Activate Text Tool.
I use Font Burnstown Dam. But it's up to you what you want.
My settings are these:



Foreground Color # 321712 Background #dccb38.
I type Happy on left side. Turn it round using arrow with 1.
and I also draw out a little with 2.



Next I write - Birthday in the right side.
Turn it round too.
In Layer Pallette, right click layer and Convert to Raster Layer.
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow same as tube.

If you want a Background then you  do a New Raster Layer and Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom.
Then Flood Fill . I used color #c57667



New Raster Layer, Add Your Watermark.

Save it as JPG.
 File/Export/JPEG Optimizer:



Set compression value to 20

Then give it a name and save.

 

If you want a Stationery you have to go to
Image/Canvas Size:

In width you set your screen-resolution.
Mine are 1280, I set my height to 800,
Placement top middle

New Raster Layer. Layers/Arrange /Send to Bottom.
Fill with a Background  or Pattern.

Save as JPG.

 

But if you only want as graphic, dont Fill with Background,
just have it transparent.
Then crop it:
 

Save as GIF.

File/Export/GIF Optimizer

Tab - Transparency,
check -Exicting image or layer transparency

Tab -  Partial Transparency,
check - Use full transparency for pixels below, set to 15.
check Yes, blend with the background color #c0c0c0.

Tab -  Colors.
In - How many colors do you want - set 256
How much dithering do you want - set 100
Check - Optimized Octree



Give it a name and Save as GIF.
